International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) – Wednesday, 3 December 2025
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
What is IDPwD?
The annual international celebration is a United Nations observed day and aims to increase public awareness and acceptance of people with a disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
This year’s IDPwD theme
This year’s annual theme is
Fostering disability inclusive societies for
advancing social progress.
Why does CVGT Employment celebrate IDPwD?
CVGT Employment celebrates International Day of People with Disability because inclusion and diversity are at the heart of who we are.
We believe every person deserves equal access to meaningful work and a workplace where they feel valued and respected. Employment changes lives, families, and communities, and IDPwD is an opportunity to strengthen those connections and celebrate diversity. It’s also a chance to advocate for equality, challenge barriers, and keep driving progress toward workplaces that reflect the communities we serve.
For us, IDPwD is more than a date on the calendar- it’s a reminder of why we exist: to create workplaces where everyone belongs and contributes their best. In the lead up to IDPwD and to celebrate read about some of our disability highlights below and find out where we will be to celebrate IDPwD.
Watch our Workforce Profile video and discover why observance days like IDPwD matter to us, and how they reflect our commitment to inclusion.

Our services support people with disability to find meaningful work
At CVGT Employment, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Our Inclusive Employment Australia program puts the Participant at the centre of the service to help create a more inclusive future. It gives people with a disability, injury or health condition the support to prepare for, find and maintain work, and grow their career.

We are proud to be an inclusive employer

CVGT Employment is proud to be recognised again as a Diversity Council of Australia Inclusive Employer for 2025–2026, a reflection of our commitment to building workplaces where everyone feels valued and respected. The diversity of our staff mirrors the diversity of the communities we serve, and we actively foster cultural awareness and an environment where people can thrive and contribute their best.
We’re especially proud that 26% of our workforce identifies as having a disability, demonstrating that inclusion isn’t just something we advocate for- it’s something we live every day. This recognition reinforces our promise to keep improving, listening, and leading change toward a more inclusive future.

Not every disability is visible, some are hidden
Disability can be physical, sensory, intellectual, or psychosocial, and many are invisible. At CVGT Employment, we understand that every person’s experience is unique, and we tailor our support to meet individual needs.
To learn more about hidden or invisible disabilities read our article ‘Understanding hidden disabilities’ here.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Network
CVGT Employment is a proud Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network member, and the first employment services provider in Australia to show support for this initiative.
