CVGT Child Safe Policy

CVGT Employment (CVGT) is committed to promoting and protecting the interests and safety of children and young people involved in our programs. CVGT has a zero tolerance for child abuse. Everyone working at CVGT is responsible for the care and protection of children and young people within our care and for reporting information about suspected child abuse.

CVGT is committed to child safety by establishing and maintaining a child safe and child friendly environment that promotes and protects the interests and safety of all children and young people who interact with our services. Our approach aligns with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the Victorian Child Safe Standards.

CVGT is committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, and those from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children living with a disability.

All CVGT employees and volunteers in child related work, regardless of whether the work is paid, unpaid, supervised or unsupervised, are required to undertake preemployment screening, including a Working with Children Check and relevant background checks.
