Incentives for Job Seekers

With CVGT Australia as your job partner, you can be assured you will have access to any Australian Government incentives that you may be eligible for.

Current job seeker incentives include the “Job Commitment Bonus”, where eligible job seekers can receive up to $6,500 in Australian Government assistance, and the “Relocation Assistance” incentive where eligible job seekers may receive up to $9,000 to help relocate their family for work.

group training program

Group Training Apprenticeships and Traineeships

For apprentices and trainees, we look after you while you train. When you choose a Group Training apprenticeship or traineeship with CVGT, you work for us and we place you with a host employer that will teach you the vocational skills you need to complete your qualification. CVGT will pay you and provide you with a dedicated field officer who will help you if you have any issues, questions and will make sure you’re meeting your learning requirements.

For employers, it doesn't matter if your looking for one or more apprentices or trainees, Group Training is the easiest way for business to hire apprentices and trainees. We employ the apprentice or trainee and take care of all the administration, paperwork, payroll and work health and safety. Your dedicated field officer will support you if you have any issues, answer any questions and will monitor all on and off the job training, meaning you can concentrate on your business.

jobactive helps job seekers find a job that meets their needs. To access jobactive, you must be registered with Centrelink and be receiving benefits. If you’re not currently with Centrelink, don’t worry, we can advise you on how to register or offer a service to help you develop your resume and provide you access to some of our facilities to search for a job.

For employers, we offer a free and reliable recruitment services tailored to your needs. We pride ourselves on having work ready candidates that have the right skills and strengths. We take time to understand your business needs and work collaboratively to deliver the right person every time.

ParentsNext program

ParentsNext

Our ParentsNext service helps parents identify their education and employment goals, develop a pathway to achieve their goals and link them to activities and services in the local community. As a ParentsNext provider, we can assist parents to plan and prepare for employment by the time their youngest child reaches school age.

Transition to Work

The Transition to Work program is much more than just getting a job. If you've left school early, or had trouble getting a job, then our Transition to Work program is for you. We know that sometimes there's things making it hard for you to work or study. We will support and encourage you as we help you develop a plan that identifies your work and/or education goals, and how you are going to achieve them.

For employers, we will help you to recruit young employees who meet your business needs. Whether an employment opportunity or work experience, we are committed to delivering staff that turn up, are appropriately dressed and use their initiative and contribute to your business.

Second Chance

Second Chance

We like to make things as easy as possible for you, through understanding, guidance and support. Our Second Chance program has been specially designed to offer an alternative employment activity for people before the court. Our staff work closely with legal representatives, employers and community support services to identify job opportunities and prepare participants for those roles.

DES program

Disability Employment Services

Disability Employment Services helps people with disability to find sustainable and fulfilling jobs and access to resources that enable them to stay employed.We like to make things as easy as possible for our participants, through understanding, guidance and support. We’ll help you transition to paid work, provide you with training to get you into the job you want and then work with you to provide on-going support.

Working on the job

Working on the Job

We like to make things as easy as possible for you, through understanding, guidance and support. Our Working on the Job program has been specially designed to offer flexible services that are tailored to your needs.

Our staff work closely support services including Anglicare, Bendigo District Aboriginal Cooperative, Haven Home Safe, Castlemaine Community District Health and Bendigo Kangan Institute to:

  • identify job seekers who require assistance to gain employment
  • actively engage with employers to identify job opportunities
  • link participants to community support services.

From your first appointment, you will be engaged in activities supported by our trained and experienced staff to make you work-ready, and to help you into work.

Once you know which program is for you, the road to the perfect job will generally start with an interview with one of our employment experts. They will take time to get to know you to understand your current skills, goals and individual circumstances.
