Parent Pathways is a voluntary and personalised service to help parents and carers with children under 6 work towards their goals, whatever they might be.

When you join Parent Pathways with CVGT Employment, you will connect with a personalised, flexible, and supportive service to achieve your goals, whatever they might look like. Â
$1250 in funding to achieve your goals
Parent Pathways gives you access to an Individual Fund that helps make your goals easier to reach.
The Individual Fund is up to $1,250 per year of participation and could support you with purchases such as:
Engagement Support Vouchers:
Connect, grow, and get rewarded with Parent Pathways
When you attend your face-to-face appointments, you may be eligible to receive Engagement Support Vouchers.
They can be used for groceries, fuel, clothing, health, wellbeing, training materials, educational supplies,
household items, medication expenses.
First appointment
At your first appointment, you can receive a $100 voucher.
Follow-up appointments
For three additional face-to-face follow up appointments, you’ll receive a $50 voucher.
Staying connected
You can receive up to $250 in vouchers per year of participation. An excellent way to stay connected with your mentor while getting extra support.

Parent Pathways Frequently Asked Questions
No, the service is completely voluntary. If you choose to engage in Parent Pathways, you can also choose to leave, take a break or come back at any time.
Parent Pathways is for parents and carers who:
- have a child aged under 6
- are not in paid employment
- live in an area where there is a Parent Pathways provider
Receiving one of these payments:
- Parenting Payment
- Carer Payment
- Special Benefit
Eligibility includes those who are not getting a Centrelink payment, and are either:
- a First Nations parent or carer
- under 22 years old
- an early school leaver (parents who don’t have a year 12 qualification)
Parent Pathways is focused on your individual circumstances.
You can work with your mentor to identify skills, experience and qualifications to help you plan for your future.
You can also get support to find a child care centre or with the child care costs, get a referral to support such as financial information services and family and domestic violence support services, access language or literacy programs, or connect with training, such as a short course at a local TAFE.
Yes.
Parent Pathways mentors provide personalised support, such as advice about what you might like to do, or practical help to achieve a particular goal. Through Parent Pathways you can get help to achieve your personal, study or work goals.
Whether you need help to find the right course, just need advice, or are looking for financial assistance to help you reach those goals – there is a range of support available to you.
Yes, you can.
Your appointments might be over the phone, in person or online, and your children are always welcome to attend.
The service is family friendly so if you need to reschedule or cancel appointments, that’s okay.
A Goal Plan is personalised to your needs, strengths and aspirations.
It will help you prepare for your future by the time your youngest child starts school.
The plan will include your goals, the support you will need and the steps you will take, including activities you want to do, to help you reach your short, medium and long-term goals.
