CVGT’s Transition to Work Success Story

CVGT Australia’s Transition to Work program has celebrated it first anniversary with more than 298 participants through the program.

CVGT Australia Acting Deputy CEO Craig Canham said the program commenced just over 12 months ago and has gone from strength to strength.

“Transition to Work is an exciting service designed to support young people aged 15-21 on their journey to employment.

“The service has a strong focus on practical support and work experience to build participants skills, confidence and readiness for work.

“We deliver the service from four locations including in Cobram, Shepparton, Echuca and Seymour.

“Our Transition to Work staff are experienced in working with young people and have strong links with local employers, community services and schools to get the best outcomes for participants,” Mr Canham said.

Transition to Work is designed to help young people who are early school leavers, or those who have had difficulty entering employment after school. Young people can speak directly to our Transition to Work staff to discuss how they can participate in the program.

Transition to Work is funded by the Australian Government as part of the Youth Employment Strategy.
