Mental Health Month October 2026: Together we thrive
October is Mental Health Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma and encourage conversations about mental health and wellbeing. This year’s theme, ‘Together We Thrive’, highlights the importance of connection, support and community in helping people maintain positive mental health and live fulfilling lives. World Mental Health Day is also observed on 10 October, providing an opportunity to reflect on how we can support ourselves and those around us.
At CVGT Employment, we see every day how the right support can help people overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their goals. Whether you’re looking for work, returning after time away, managing a health condition, or taking the first step towards a new career, you don’t have to do it alone.
Because when people feel supported, included and connected, they are more likely to thrive.

Why connection matters for mental health
Mental health is not something we experience in isolation. Our wellbeing is influenced by our relationships, communities and opportunities to participate in everyday life.
At our core, people want to feel connected, valued and understood. That’s why the theme Together We Thrive resonates so strongly. Small acts of support, encouragement and inclusion can make a significant difference in a person’s wellbeing
One of the most powerful ways people connect with their community is through meaningful work.
The positive impact of work on mental health
Work can play an important role in supporting mental health and wellbeing.
Employment can provide:
For many people, work is about much more than earning an income. It can help build self-esteem, create friendships and provide a sense of direction and accomplishment.
