International Day of People with a Disability (IDPwD)  – Saturday December 3, 2022

International Day of People with a Disability (IDPwD) is on Saturday 3 December.

What is IDPwD?

The annual international celebration is a United Nations observed day and aims to increase public awareness and acceptance of people with a disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

This year’s theme

This year’s annual theme is:

Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world.’

The annual theme provides an overarching focus on how society can strive for inclusivity through the removal of physical, technological, and attitudinal barriers for people with disability.

Importance of inclusion and diversity

Inclusion and diversity are integral to our culture and how we live our values. Reflecting the diversity of the people we support, and our communities enables us to better understand and serve their needs.

CVGT Employment promotes inclusivity, accessibility, and an equitable world.

At CVGT Employment we believe in inclusive employment for every person and business. At CVGT we strive every day to improve inclusion, accessibility, and an equitable world.

Tom, Lantrak North Projects

Project Manager

We fell in love with Chris at the first meeting. We knew he would be a really good match. We were able to tailor his tasks to the things that he was capable and happy to do. Kelly made this so much easier for us from his inductions. She helped Chris with first aid, CPR, and the working with children’s check.

Lisa, Eltham Leisure Centre
