Supporting young people at risk

The CVGT Employment Second Chance Program supports young people aged 17-24 based in the City of Greater Bendigo, identified as being at risk of involvement, or currently involved in the justice system.

The program provides a flexible range of help and support to address and minimise the risk factor to reduce recidivism and further offending in the community.

How does CVGT Employment Second Chance help young people?

  • Develop a pathway plan that builds a foundation of stability and confidence including pro-social activities 
  • Intensive case management
  • Linking with specialist services in the community
  • One-on-one coaching and support through regular contact with a dedicated Youth Mentor
  • Providing pathways toward sustainable employment and training opportunities

We are a recognised program through the local Magistrates Court and Department of Justice and Community Safety, supported by the Victorian Government Youth Crime Prevention Program.

We are acknowledged for reducing recidivism, and further offending by young people in the community.
