Sponsorship supports rural young people on the road to independence
Through CVGT Employment’s proud sponsorship of the North Central LLEN and their Buloke Loddon L2P program, we have helped open doors for young people in rural communities by supporting them to gain the driving experience they need to obtain their licence: a vital step toward independence, employment and further education.
Driving Opportunity in Rural Victoria
The Buloke Loddon L2P program provides supervised driving experience to young people who face significant barriers to completing their mandatory 120 hours. Many do not have access to a suitable vehicle or a supervising driver. Through the support of trained volunteer mentors and a sponsored vehicle, participants can safely build their skills and confidence on the road.
Between August and December 2025, the program supported 21 young people to gain valuable driving experience: a remarkable achievement made possible through community volunteers and CVGT Employment’s sponsorship.

A Milestone Moment for Two Young Drivers
On 25 November 2025, the program celebrated a special milestone when Lara and Amber, both from the small rural township of Donald, passed their driving tests in Swan Hill on the same day. With a population of fewer than 1,500 people and limited public transport, having a licence is a crucial link for them to education, employment and social opportunities.
Their success was made possible through the dedication of their volunteer mentor, Pam, and driving instructor, Kylie, who supported them every step of the way.
Fueling the Journey
The North Central LLEN expressed deep appreciation for CVGT Employment’s sponsorship, which largely contributed to fuel costs for driving sessions : a practical but essential expense that ensures young people can access consistent, high‑quality driving practice.
The Buloke Loddon L2P program plays an invaluable role in the local community supporting young people to obtain the driving experience they need to obtain their licence so they can access work, further education and social opportunities. We are grateful for the support of CVGT in helping us to make this possible.”
