Christmas Toy Drive 2022

‘Tis the season for giving and CVGT Employment is looking for donations of toys to bring some early Christmas joy to families participating in its ParentsNext (PN) program in the Goulburn Murray region.

The call out is for the annual CVGT Employment 2022 Toy Drive, which will run from December 1-16.

CVGT Employment is kick-starting the toy drive with a donation of $1000.

People can donate new and unwrapped toys or a locally purchased gift card at CVGT Employment sites across the Goulburn Murray. The toys will be delivered to children, aged between nine months and six years, of ParentsNext families before Christmas.

The flood impact on our participants

The floods have been devastating for many families in the Goulburn Murray community. Sadly, some of our participants have lost their homes and possessions.

We are determined to make sure they don’t lose Christmas, so we’re reaching out to the community to help the ParentsNext families affected by this tragedy have a happy Christmas by donating a brand-new unwrapped toy or locally purchased gift card.

Jason Russell
Chief Executive Officer, CVGT Employment

What to donate

Goulburn Murray ParentsNext participant children range in age from nine months to six years. You can donate a:

  • A brand-new unwrapped toy; or
  • A locally-purchased gift card.

Due to hygiene concerns, only new purchased items can be accepted. Please no cash.

If you’re stuck for what to buy, purchase a gift card and we can choose for you.

Economic and social benefits

“In the spirit of providing further economic and social benefits to the communities in which we operate we ask that you consider purchasing your donation from local flood-affected stores,” Mr Russell said.

Where and when to donate

You can donate to any of these CVGT location sites until 5pm on Friday 16 December.

“This will give us enough time to wrap and deliver before Christmas,” said Kathryn Lord, ParentsNext manager. “If a business would like to make a donation, please get in touch and help us make a little magic this Christmas.”
