Melissa goes from aspiration to action with Parent Pathways

When Melissa connected with CVGT Employment’s Parent Pathways program in Melton, she had a clear goal.

“I joined Parent Pathways in March 2025, to get help to do a course so I can get back into work,” says Melissa.

Personalised support that makes a difference

With the help of her CVGT Employment Mentor Lissa, Melissa found a suitable course, Certificate III in Individual Support, and took the exciting step of enrolling.

“Once enrolled, Melissa’s goals were updated to reflect her new career direction, and Parent Pathways provided funding to cover her course fees,” Lissa says.

“To support her studies further, Parent Pathways also supplied funding for a laptop, helping Melissa stay connected and complete her coursework more effectively.”

Lissa from CVGT Employment has been able to help research and enrol me into my new Individual Support course. She’s helped with getting my laptop so I can do my course, vouchers and my reading glasses. She’s been a big help to me.

Melissa had limited previous work experience, but that hasn’t held her back. As she continues her studies, CVGT Employment is supporting her to build her resume, develop job-readiness skills, and prepare to apply for roles once she’s qualified.
