Be part of a Games like no other, in a career you wouldn’t trade.
The Victorian Government aims to generate social and economic legacies in regional Victoria through its investment in the 2026 Commonwealth Games competition venues and athlete villages, including employment outcomes for a wide range of regional Victorians.
Development Victoria has established a list of regional Group Training Organisations and employment suppliers to support contractors to recruit, train and employ regional people to help build these exciting regional projects.
Development Victoria has appointed CVGT Employment to its List of Group Training Organisations to support contractors working on Games projects in Bendigo and Ballarat.
This is a great acknowledgement for us, and we are wasting no time in securing expressions of interest from as many people as possible for the vast range of employment opportunities on offer.
Government’s procurement policies for major construction projects require contractors to commit to creating more gender inclusive workplaces and to provide opportunities for Victorians with disabilities, disadvantaged Victorians, and Victorian Aboriginal people. Contractors will also be required to create local and regional jobs, which will include new apprenticeships and traineeships for regional people.
The Commonwealth Games 2026 is being touted as “A Games like no other, in a place like no other”. Get involved and complete our Expression of Interest form now, and we will be in contact with you to discuss the next steps.

Most opportunities in the next few weeks and months will be supporting the major build projects across Bendigo and Ballarat. The construction of the athletes’ villages and venues required will be immense projects and there will be apprenticeship and traineeships opportunities across all construction and building related trades.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve just finished school, are looking at changing careers or re-entering the workforce, an apprenticeship or traineeship might be the solution you’ve been looking for.
Apprenticeships and traineeships combine work and training to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. They can be completed full-time or part-time.
The best way to find an apprenticeship or traineeship is to first think about what interests you. We’ll chat to you, to find out what you like and what you’re good at. Then we can match you to the right industry, job type and host employer.
Once you know where you want to work, you’ll need an employer, that’s where we are your best resource.
What is Group Training?
An excellent way you can complete an apprenticeship or traineeship is through a Group Training Organisation, like CVGT Employment. Under CVGT Employment Group Training, we will employ you and support you with a host employer for the short or long term, while you undertake your training.
We’ll look after everything for you, including linking you to an employer in your desired industry, and even pay your wage.
