What is our YConnect Jobs Victoria program?

CVGT Australia is a Jobs Victoria Partner. Our YConnect program, supported by Jobs Victoria, is about helping young people, like you, discover what you want from a job. It’s a voluntary, no-obligation, free jobs program that is designed to connect you with employment.

With our support, you will learn valuable skills, link up with support services, if needed, and gain sustainable work that meets your individual needs and aspirations. Yes, it’s all free.

So, how does it happen?

#1: Connect with CVGT

Connect with us and receive the help you need to discover and secure the right job for you.

It’s a simple process. All you need to do is phone, email or go online to chat with us. From the moment you connect with us, we will listen and take the time to understand what you want from life and what help you need.

There are no costs or obligations involved in our program.

#2: Training and Skills

Take part in workshops, skills and interview training, plus one-on-one mentoring.

After meeting in person we work together to ensure the help you receive is unique to you and flexible to your needs. This helps us – and you – identify your strengths and skills.

We can also talk about extra support you might need, such as mental health, housing and more; and connect you with those services.

#3: Employment

Meet employers and find the best job, apprenticeship or traineeship for you.

When you are feeling more confident, we then speak to employers on your behalf and present your strengths, skills and experiences.

When you are ready to meet those employers – yes, we know plenty and understand what they are looking for in an employee – we’ll set up an interview. As your support team, you’ll be in good hands and ready to achieve job success.
