About CVGT Employment

CVGT Employment is a not for profit, for purpose employment service provider with corporate headquarters in Bendigo, Central Victoria. We operate numerous employment programs, both federally and state funded, across 88 separate locations from Southwest Sydney, Southern NSW, most of regional Victoria, Melbourne and Tasmania.

Our purpose is to connect more people to meaningful work, and we do this by working with some of the most disadvantaged, vulnerable and diverse members of the communities we operate within. We provide employment support to a range of diversity groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse and youth, to name a few.

In 2023, we were awarded Inclusive Employer status by the Diversity Council of Australia.

Our workforce of over 330 people delivers our services while guided by our vision, purpose and our core values of Do the Right Thing, Community Matters, Better Together, Find a Way and Genuine Care. There is a resilience in our workforce and a drive to support our participants.  When asked in the 2024 Employee Survey if CVGT Employment was a “truly great place to work”, 71% of respondents answered Yes.

Our Board

The CVGT Board is a highly committed group of experienced governance professionals, with a focus on strategy and ensuring CVGT delivers on our purpose. Working closely with a skilled executive management team and our passionate staff, the Board is currently developing our next Strategic Plan, looking to maximise our social impact in a fast-changing operating environment.

This is a hard-working Board – meetings are currently held monthly (excluding April and December), on the last Wednesday of the month. Meetings are a combination of online and at our Bendigo Corporate Office (with an option for online attendance for those that cannot attend in person). Directors are usually also members of two of our Board sub committees, which meet four to six times a year, usually on-line. Other Board events may be held from time to time to time throughout the year.

We are seeking expressions of interest for upcoming Board vacancies, particularly from experienced directors from diverse professional and personal backgrounds.
