CVGT Australia employer Seymour Central Vets was recognised for their work assisting people with disability to achieve their goals at an awards ceremony for the 2015 Victorian Disability Sector Awards.
Seymour Central Vets were nominated for, and received ‘highly commended’ recognition in the Business and Community Supporting Disability Award category.
CVGT Australia Deputy CEO John Lynch said that the company was delighted the employer had been recognised for their commitment to employing people with disability.
“Racquel from Seymour Central Vets gave our client Nancy a wonderful opportunity when she agreed to provide her with a work experience placement.
“Work experience helps participants gain skills and confidence that they can take to the workforce.
“At the conclusion of the work experience placement, Racquel asked CVGT how she could employ Nancy on a permanent basis.
“Racquel has always treated Nancy as a valued staff member and supported her growth and professional development.
“We are delighted to see that Racquel has been recognised for this,” Mr Lynch said.
