ParentsNext

Our ParentsNext service helps parents identify their education and employment goals, develop a pathway to achieve their goals and link them to activities and services in the local community.

As a ParentsNext provider, we can assist parents to plan and prepare for employment by the time their youngest child reaches school age.

Our Second Chance program has been specially designed to offer an alternative employment activity for people before the court. Our staff work closely with legal representatives, employers and community support services to identify job opportunities and prepare participants for those roles.

From your first appointment, you will be engaged in activities supported by our trained and experienced staff to make you work-ready, and to help you into work.

Indigenous Program

CVGT Australia understands that Indigenous workers bring valuable diversity to the workplace.
We work closely with our Indigenous communities to help find the best employment and great employers through our Indigenous Employment Programs.

These programs help Indigenous Australians to use their knowledge and skills for their own benefit, for business and for the wider community.

Learn 2 Work

Undertaking a school-based traineeship through Learn 2 Work provides young people with formal training as part of their VCE or VCAL studies, and leads to meaningful work opportunities through a nationally recognised qualification.

Participants attend their workplace for seven hours each week and perform tasks appropriate to their qualification.

Just like a full-time traineeship, school-based trainees complete a training contract with their employer and undertake formal training with a registered training organisation.

Trade Taster

The Trade Taster Program is an excellent way to experience different areas across occupations to help choose a career path. The program is aimed at year 10 and VCAL students and will provide hands-on activities to expose participants to a variety of career pathways.

The program is delivered over 10 days (one day per week for 10 weeks) by Bendigo TAFE with an opportunity to complete one week’s work experience in your chosen occupation.
