We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our Albury team as Senior Consultant.

In this exciting position, you will lead a team to work with and motivate job seekers to gain and maintain employment or education placements.  You will work closely with all team members to promote and place job seekers into ongoing employment.

The successful applicant will:

  • Assess the needs of jobseekers for the express purpose of them gaining them sustainable employment, by preparing and implementing individualised job plans and stepping stone tools.
  • Maintain active engagement with all jobseekers and ensure that they are participating in appropriate activities to assist them overcome any barriers and reach an employment outcome.
  • Monitor and review all job searches and applications to ensure all jobseekers obligations are being appropriately met.
  • Refer jobseekers to appropriate job vacancies advertised.
  • Support the Branch Manager to ensure the team operates within contractual guidelines, provide monthly reports and performance feedback to team members.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in or the ability to learn the employment services industry and an understanding of strategies to address barriers to employment.
  • Proven ability to manage time and workloads effectively to business priorities in a challenging environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to implement problem-solving techniques, resolve conflict, negotiate and build rapport through utilisation of effective judgment and decision making skills.
  • Professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to share, support and preparedness to be an integral part of a bigger entity than oneself.
  • Willingness to learn and preparedness to take responsibility for one’s own skill development.
  • Communication skills evidenced by highly developed writing skills and the ability to develop file notes that are logical, accurate and compliant.

This position is full time and will be employed on a maximum term contract to 26 June 2020 with the view to extend past this point subject to ongoing contract operation.
