Women and girls can access a FREE program to build a career in trades
Take your first step to join the inspiring women who are making an impact in vocational trades.
At CVGT Employment and Bendigo TAFE’s Women In Trades program, you’ll gain hands-on experience in four trades in a supportive, all-female environment.
The program is not currently taking participants, but register your interest via the link below and we will get in touch for future events.
Eligible participants will try:
- Painting and Decorating
- Carpentry
- Automotive
- Engineering trades
This free course will also help prepare you to make your next move into a trade you love:
- Meet female apprentices and qualified tradeswomen to learn about their work life
- Undertake work placements with local employers
- Earn your White Card – a valuable industry qualification
Young women get a taste of life in trades
In March 2022 eight young women completed a seven-week introduction to a career in trades typically dominated by men. Participants were given hands-on experience across trades such as carpentry, automotive and electrical services.
