Community benefits

Delivering positive economic and social benefits to the community is at the heart of what CVGT Australia does. We have been growing for more than 36 years and have a real commitment to supporting the towns and cities in which we operate. We do this by:

CVGT Annual Awards

Acknowledging partnerships and celebrating excellence across CVGT programs.

The annual jobactive Employer Awards acknowledge one employer from each CVGT jobactive region, to thank them for their collaboration, engagement and support of the program.
The
Matthew Baldock and John Balsillie Memorial Awards recognise excellence in our Group Training Apprentices.

The Matthew Baldock Memorial Award recognises CVGT plumbing apprentice Matthew Baldock who passed away in 2000 from illness. In honour of Matthew, CVGT gives special recognition to a plumbing apprentice who displays a high level of skill, initiative and commitment to their trade. This award commenced in 2001.

The John Balsillie Memorial Award recognises former director John Balsillie. In honour of Mr Balsillie, CVGT gives special recognition to an engineering apprentice who has a demonstrated high level of skill and can complete tasks to a high quality. This award commenced in 2008.

CVGT apprentice scholarships

Begin a pathway to trade excellence with a CVGT Australia apprentice scholarship. Our Australian apprentice scholarship program provides recipients with access to the best support, tools, additional training and mentoring to develop and enhance the skills required to achieve excellence in their trade.

Scholarship recipients are employed through our Group Training program and begin a pathway to trade excellence with the support of their host employer and the scholarship.

Thanks to our scholarship partner McCaig Air Conditioning.

Corporate sponsorship

We are proud to be a part of the communities where we operate through our Corporate Sponsorship Program. It’s our way to build relationships and say thanks for supporting us.

CVGT Australia provides support a range of groups and activities including: Sporting Clubs; Community Groups; Charitable Organisations; Awards, Presentations & Scholarships; Environmental Projects; Schools; Service Clubs; and Events.

Each year we receive many requests for assistance. As we have limited resources available, successful submissions are at the discretion of CVGT Australia.

For more information on partnering with CVGT Australia, or to submit a proposal, please contact our marketing team.

Community grants program

Our community grants program provides financial support to community groups for projects that benefit the communities where CVGT Australia operates. Applications must be made in writing on the official application form which will be available on the website together with the terms and conditions.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the 2020 Community Grants Program has been postponed until further notice. (Updated March 24th, 2020)
