Indigenous Employment Programs

CVGT have applied for and have been successful in attaining membership on the Employment Panel of the reformed Indigenous Employment Panel (IEP).

As a result CVGT have a current program operating in the Bendigo and Mid Murray region of Victoria. Our program works closely with participants to identify training needs and ultimately seek employment placements that will lead to successful and sustainable outcomes. This is done in consultation with the participant and may include working closely with the participants community in general

Under the reformed IEP, support is available for activities that increase employment opportunities and participation for Indigenous Australians and that which will offer value for money. This could include activities that:

  • encourage and support employers to provide sustainable employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians
  • encourage and prepare and support Indigenous Australians to take up training and employment opportunities, stay in jobs and enhance their future employment prospects
help Indigenous communities, industry bodies and groups of employers to develop Indigenous workforce and economic development strategies that support local and regional economic growth

Individuals, can access assistance directly from CVGT by contacting the IEP Consultant at CVGT on 03 5449 2000. Our program is supported by a strong element of mentoring and support provided through our one to one service. Our success in delivering this and similar types of programs is well reported by the range of awards CVGT have received.
