Green Corps is a youth initiative of the Australian Government administered by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations in consultation with the Department of the Environment and Heritage.
CVGT - a non profit organisation with 22-years experience in delivering specialist EMPLOYMENT and TRAINING services, has been contracted to work with Partner agencies to Deliver Green Corps across Victoria And Tasmania
Each Green Corps Project is a community based project of 26 weeks duration for a team of ten participants ably
led by a skilled Team Leader. The project involves a mix of conservation
and heritage work activities, whilst focusing on each team members personal
development including work skills and work ethic. Each team member completes
modules from the Certificate II Conservation and Land Management training
package, and as much as possible of this training is hands on. Green Corps offers the community the opportunity to make a tangible difference to its
local young people and the environment which otherwise may not have been
achievable
Green Corps assist Young People to develop their skills and find employment whilst improving the environment
