School-Based “Link” Program

The LINK Program is a CVGT initiative, which provides an opportunity for year 10 students who have an interest in the trades to gain valuable work experience, and credits towards competency modules in an apprenticeship. The program runs for between 13 and 16 weeks, and can be taken in either Building Construction or Welding / Engineering.

Students participating in the LINK program attend CVGT’s Industry Skills Centre (ISC) in Eaglehawk 1 day per week, and attend school on the other weekdays. While at the ISC, they undertake a range of practical and theoretical training modules which provide those who successfully complete the program with 5 nationally-accredited modules in a first year apprenticeship. For many participants, this course provides the link between school and gaining apprenticeships in their field of interest.

How Do I Find Out More?

Call the ISC on 5446 8044, or call in to 128 Victoria St. Eaglehawk.
