The IYEC provides mentoring and support for
Indigenous Youth aged from 15 to 19 years. The objective of the
programme is to encourage youth to remain at school or
move to training and/or employment.
Location: Goulburn Valley-Victoria
Who is eligible?
- Indigenous Australians
- People who identify and are accepted by the community in which
they currently live or have lived.
- Must be of Working age.
Why participate in the program?
- To receive tailored assistance to remain at school, undertake
further training or to gain employment.
- Have access to a vast network of support services and employers.
- For assitance with researching training opportunities and enrolling
in further education.
- To gain advice in looking for work and career planning.
- For resume preparation and assistance with preparing job applications.
- To receive training in job search skills and networking.
- For mentoring and support whilst at school or undertaking
further training and once you have gained employment.
